Suffolk County hosted its Girls High School Individual Championships on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at East Islip High school for Division I and at Shoreham-Wading River High School for Division IV. In Division I, Hills East's Samantha Elgort was victorious over Smithtown East's Sara Finger, 6-0, 6-2. Division IV action featured two teammates from Ross squaring off as top-seeded Nadia Smergut faced the number seven seed, teammate Daria Schieferstein. In the end, it was Smergut who came out on top, 6-1,6-1.
