On the heels of the blizzard that practically paraylzed the Northeastern United States, three local New York tennis bubbles in New York City have been damaged thanks to the weight and winds of this past weekend’s snowstorm. As Minneapolis’ Metrodome caved in due to the wintry mix of snow and wind a few weeks back, two tennis bubbles at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Tennis Center and one at Sportime at Randall’s Island suffered similar fates.

City officials found no other structural damage other than the heavy snow and damage-causing winds. Employees at both Prospect Park Tennis Center and Sportime at Randall’s Island have begun the process of removing the snow and repairing each bubble with a goal of re-opening these facilities next week.
