The USTA, in conjunction with Levy Restaurants, the official restaurant partner of the U.S. Open, has announced that it will unveil its first-ever pop-up restaurant at Grand Central Terminal on Aug. 12, serving free U.S. Open signature dishes and offering special giveaways to the public. The U.S. Open is renowned for its unparalleled food and dining program showcasing fresh, inventive cuisine while utilizing local and seasonal ingredients. The US Open Pop-Up Restaurant will give fans a unique opportunity to preview the culinary offerings to be served onsite during the two-week event held Aug. 31-Sept. 13.

The pop-up restaurant will be located at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal (89 East 42nd Street). Beginning at 12:30 p.m. and concluding in the early afternoon on Aug. 12, the U.S. Open Pop-Up Restaurant will feature trademark cuisine creations from acclaimed U.S. Open celebrity chefs Tony Mantuano and Richard Sandoval. Visitors will have an option to choose two menu items, while supplies last. The following menu items will be served:

►The U.S. Open’s signature lobster roll, the famous gourmet creation made with fresh, buttery lobster.

►Tony Mantuano’s tomato bread from Wine Bar Food, a classic from Tony Mantuano’s Food: Classic tomato-rubbed bread topped with Serano Ham.

►Richard Sandoval's refreshing Maya chopped salad, topped with chayote, jicama, tomato, yellow corn, shredded chicken tinga and piloncillo dressing.

►Hill Country Barbecue’s chopped brisket sliders, topped with confetti coleslaw.

In addition to these menu items, Lavazza will be serving a 12 ounce premium iced coffee and evian Natural Spring Water will be available. Also, Coca-Cola will be on hand with its “Share a Coke” activation, which allows each person to create two personalized cans–one to keep and one to share with friends and family.

As an added attraction, those on hand will have a chance to take a photo with the men’s replica U.S. Open trophy created by Tiffany & Co. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes at the U.S. Open Pop-Up Restaurant, and those who stop by will receive an exclusive Ticketmaster discount code to buy U.S. Open tickets.

The US Open attracts more than 700,000 fans throughout the course of the tournament. Each year, the U.S. Open enhances its innovative dining options, with the aim of creating sports and entertainment’s ultimate annual food and dining experience.
