The New York Open rolls on Tuesday as Session 4 of the inaugural tournament gets underway inside NYCB LIVE home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The day’s schedule is highlighted by the appearance of Long Island’s Noah Rubin, who will be battling against fifth-seed Kei Nishikori of Japan in Kei’s first ATP World Tour match in 6 months.

Rubin is looking to continue his good start to 2018 following an injury-shortened 2017 campaign. He began his year by winning the New Caledonia Challenger, and recently reached the quarterfinals in San Francisco.

The Long Island native takes on former U.S. Open finalist Kei Nishikori at 7:30PM on Stadium Court. Nishikori is also trying to find his best form following an injury-riddled 2017, and he did so by capturing the Dallas Challenger title a week ago where he was seeking to get some matches under his belt ahead of the New York Open.

Opening up the day’s play on Stadium Court will be seventh-seeded American Steve Johnson, who squares off with Spanish qualifier Adrian Menendez-Maceiras. Following that match, France’s Jeremy Chardy will play Italian qualifier Stefano Travaglia.

Another Long Island native, Scott Lipsky, will take to the black courts inside NYCB LIVE for the first time as he pairs with India’s Divij Sharan in the doubles draw. The pair takes on Americans Ryan Harrison and the aforementioned Johnson in the tournament’s first doubles contest.

Wrapping up the Stadium Court action will be an all-American showdown as qualifier Ernesto Escobedo meets Wild Card Mackenzie McDonald.

American Bjorn Fratangelo, who came through the qualifying draw, will also be in action on Tuesday as he takes on Moldova’s Radu Albot.
